Today has been so beautiful... it's so gray in Austin in February, that I almost don't want to talk too much about the sunshiny days because I don't want to scare them away! I was blissfully able to sleep in, and what a way to start the day!! I'm on call 12 hours today, and as I fell asleep last night (already beyond exhausted from a lot of extra hours at work) I was fearful that my phone would ring at 5 AM... "Jenny?" they would say... "We need you at 7, and we've had 2 call-in's, so you'll be needed all 12 hours, ok? .... In fact, if you could come in early..... .... Hello? Are you there??" Then I would grunt a reply and shed a tear or two... and off to work I'd go.
At least, that's how I imagined my day would start.
In truth, I woke up at 0830 to Stevie arranging the blankets all around me, tucking a pillow in beside me, and letting me know he'd already taken Molly out to go do her business (AND he'd already fed her - blessed be the man who cares for his wife by taking care of the dog in the AM hours...) as he put her on a blanket beside me in bed. *sigh*
So! Morning coffee? Check. Laundry going? Check. Dishes done? Check. Make-up on? Check. Errands run? Check. Sun shining outside?? CHECK!
Today is shaping up to be a great day..
